Alexander Maurer holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a professional certification under the LEED® AP program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design accredited professional) and a professional certification as a Passive House Consultant from the international Passive House Institute. His portfolio includes a wide range of projects from providing Passive House planning services to a series of diverse housing projects, to managing projects, to developing & executing green marketing and policy strategies, to developing high performance prefabrication projects, to providing progressive consulting services to Net Zero & Passive House projects and assisting with sustainability assessments. Amongst his notable achievements are the design & certification of the 1st Passive House Residence in Canada, publication of the certified Rainbow Passive House in the book “The Greenest Home – Superinsulated and Passive House Design” as part of 18 of the “world’s most attractive” Passive House Buildings by Princeton Architectural Press and Winner of the Energy Globe Award 2019.

Elrond holds a bachelor of architecture & building science degree from the University of Wellington, He is a registered Architect in the UK and a certified Passive Designer accredited by the International Passive House Institute.
He is passionate about improving people’s quality of life, health and environmental impact by designing beautiful, sustainable, high-performance architecture.
He is one of Australasia’s most experienced Passive House specialists. He has over a decade’s experience working on Passive House projects in the UK, Canada, the Middle East, Australia and NZ. Gernot Koefer
Architectural Consultant and Passive House Designer
Gernot holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Graz, Austria and an energy advisor certificate from the Austrian Energy Institute and a Passive House Designer certificate from the International Passive House Institute. He is a licensed architect in Austria and has worked for several renowned architectural firms in Europe and Canada such as Michael Green Architecture Vancouver where he was involved in the design of the All Wood Innovation Centre in Prince George. He also worked with Baumschlager-Eberle and Mittermayr Architects where he was engaged in a wide range of green building projects including Single Family residences, Renovations, Multi-family dwellings and Commercial developments. With over nine years of professional experience, he brings creativity and a depth of technical and architectural knowledge to every project.
